Craig Calhoun, affectionately known as “CC,” is a legendary funk bassist, vocalist, and bandleader who has electrified audiences across the globe—from San Francisco to Berlin, and now, Sydney. As the frontman of Craig Calhoun & The Brothers of Oz, he brings a dynamic fusion of funk, soul, rock, and world grooves to the stage, creating an unforgettable live experience.
A multi-talented artist, Craig is also an award-winning music producer, composer, and educator. His musical journey includes collaborations with icons such as the Motown Supremes, Living Colour’s Will Calhoun, Marcia Hines, Jimmy Barnes, and John Farnham. His unique blend of styles spans the breadth of his career, from early beginnings in Blues & Soul to his exploration of Funk, Rock, and improvised Groove .
Known for his infectious grooves and energetic stage presence, Craig often engages with the audience, inviting them to become one with “the groove.” His performances are a celebration of music, culture, and community, making each show a vibrant and inclusive experience.
